In today’s global economy, there is a rapidly increasing need for employees who can serve customers in a variety of languages. A report by New American Economy shows that the demand for bilingual workers in the U.S. has more than doubled in just five years. In 2010, there were roughly 240,000 job postings aimed at bilingual workers. By 2015, that figure had ballooned to approximately 630,000. The demand for Spanish speaking employees increased by roughly 150%. That number is only expected to rise....

National Call Center Association Launches Relief Fund
to Support Members In Storm-Ravaged Regions

SAN ANTONIO – September 8, 2017 – The call center industry has come together in a profound way to support its fellow colleagues who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Supporting this effort is the National Amtelco Equipment Owners (NAEO) association, which has set up a Relief Fund to support its members and their employees who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Donations of any amount are being accepted through NAEO’s website at One hundred percent of funds collected will directly help call center employees who have been affected by the storm to purchase items they need to begin rebuilding their lives. NAEO will match contributions up to a maximum of $10,000.
